This lesson focuses on renewable energy and its rapidly growing market, its peculiarities and specific regulation at national and European level. In principle, energy sources that are characterized as renewable are analyzed and their specific production, marketing, transmission and distribution techniques are studied. From a legal point of view, both the general regulatory framework governing it and the specific RES regulations for wind power, hybrid plants, hydroelectric plants, photovoltaic plants, solar thermal plants, geothermal energy, biomass and biofuels , as well as high-efficiency cogeneration (CHP).
